Winners of Prizes at the 2014 Conference

As most of you know, we on the ATS committee took the decision a few years back to try and make the Conference as special a day as possible for our members. To that end, we don’t charge a fee for companies to take stands on the day, but rather ask them to donate a prize for our raffle, which can then go straight to our members.
IMG_4013The grins on the faces of the winners and the anticipation in the room when it comes to raffle time has let us know that this was an excellent decision on our part!
Congratulations to this year’s winners, and a huge thanks to all the companies who were present on the day, sponsored a prize and in general contributed to the wonderful buzz in the Hilton Hotel in October 2014!

Anne Kilfeather  €100 One-For-All voucher from Euro Languages College

Soila Tynan €100 voucher (or free student places) for Irlanda en Español

Nadine Cosgrove €100 One-For-All voucher from Budget School and Group Tours

Rodica Darii Voucher for taster weekend to Donegal Adventure Centre

Three lovely big Collins dictionaries donated by International Books went to Mark Neville, Ailbhe Heffernan and Sandra Moloney.

Natasha Dawson was the lucky winner of an estar 7″ tablet from Edco.

There were bags of goodies – literally – from Learnforeignlanguageskills.com
1. Saoirse Riordan was the lucky first prize winner, who got an ALL IN 8 package for either LC or JC class. Details: http://www.learnforeignlanguageskills.com/category-67.html, a set of Spanish flashsticks and a flamenco hat.
2. Brid Ni Chonchuir received second prize, which was a Spanish wig, a Spanish flag (big), 2 little flags and a set of Flashsticks.
3. Wilma Slevin got the third prize pack of a flamenco hat, a set of flashsticks and 2 small flags.

A class set of Rapid Revision Spanish Junior Cert from Folens went to Lorna McCudden and Alvina Byrne Mulloy.

A very lucky teacher got a Nespresso coffee-maker from Grasshopper Language Centre…but her identity is a mystery – we didn’t write it down! If you are she, can you let us know please?

We were also thrilled at the generosity of Colegio Delibes in offering five scholarships for their teachers’ course in the summer. The lucky winners (yes, there were shrieks to be heard!) were as follows:
Alvina Byrne Mulloy,  Annette Mooney, Cora McDonnell, Yéssica Jiménez-Godoy and Cathy Mulligan.

Thanks to all the attendees of both the TeachMeet and the Conference for your positivity and enthusiasm! We will (eventually) be in touch with a survey – it’s been a hectic term for all so we’re a bit behind in catching up with all the website stuff.
